The following is an update regarding traffic control in the Borough from the Contractor and the Engineers who are overseeing the Water Valve Replacement. Further information and any changes to this schedule will be shared as it becomes available.

  • THURSDAY (8/13/2020): Market Street southbound will be closed at Route 849. High Street will be the detour and No Parking will need to be posted. Contractor will be digging out and plating 3 or 4 valves. We anticipate the road being open again early to mid-afternoon.
  • FRIDAY (8/14/2020): No road closures are anticipated.
  • MONDAY (8/17/2020): Market Street southbound will be closed at Route 849. High Street will be the detour and No Parking will need to be posted. Contractor will be replacing 3 valves. We anticipate the road being open again late afternoon to early evening.
  • TUESDAY (8/18/2020): Market Street southbound will be closed in the area of Ann Street. The contractor anticipates flagging this lane closure and not shutting down the lane completely at this point. In addition, the intersection of High Street and Cumberland Street and the intersection of Ann Street and Cumberland Street will be closed during the day.
  • WEDNESDAY (8/19/2020): Intersection of High Street and Cumberland Street and Cumberland Street from Factory to Ann will be closed during the day.
