Wooden Nickels Are Here!

Although we were unable to hold the New Year's Eve Sled Drop, we still wanted to commemorate the new year with a traditional Wooden Nickel. Mask-up and stop by the Borough Office to pick one up. We are open from 8-4, Monday through Friday. Call 717-834-4311 with any questions.

NO New Year’s Eve Event Planned

The Duncannon Borough Parks and Recreation has NOT Planned a New Year's Eve Sled Drop Event.  However, the 2021 Sled will be on Display at the Clarks Ferry Tavern for a short time.

Trash Collection Changes due to large snowfall

Due to the large snowfall, Friday (Dec. 18) TRASH COLLECTION will be POSTPONED until Monday (Dec. 21) so that our crew can concentrate on snow removal. Monday's Regular TRASH COLLECTION (Dumpsters and out of the Borough Customers) will be POSTPONED until TUESDAY (Dec. 22). PLEASE tell your friends and neighbors! SNOW EMERGENCY DECLARED

Duncannon Mayor John Cappawana has declared a Snow Emergency in the Borough, effective at 8:00 AM on Wednesday, December 16 until Friday, December 18, 2020 at 8:00 AM.  The decision was made to issue the declaration in advance of the anticipated snow in order to give Borough residents ample time to move their vehicles from designated Snow Emergency Routes. During a Snow Emergency, it is illegal to park on any designated Snow Emergency Routes. Violators will be towed at the owner’s expense. Boil Water Advisory Lifted 10/8/2020

This is an important update from the Duncannon Borough concerning water system Improvements.  The boil water advisory for Borough water customers has been lifted.  However, the Borough will continue to operate under a mandatory water conservation restriction until further notice.
