Duncannon Mayor John Cappawana has declared a Snow Emergency in the Borough, effective at 12:00 PM, Noon on Thursday, February 18 until Friday, February 19, 2021 at 5:00 PM. The decision was made to issue the declaration in advance of the anticipated snow in order to give Borough residents ample time to move their vehicles from designated Snow Emergency Routes.
During a Snow Emergency, it is illegal to park on any designated Snow Emergency Routes.
Violators will be towed at the owner’s expense. Tickets will also be issued, with fines of up to $50, plus costs. A complete list of the Borough’s designated Snow Emergency Routes are listed below.
The Snow Emergency will remain in effect until 5:00 PM on Friday. Updates will be posted to the Borough’s Facebook page, and communicated via the Borough’s Code Red system.
