Due to an extended period of dry weather and possible leaks in the distribution system, the water levels in the Borough’s water storage facilities have fallen to a critical level. As a result, the Borough is hereby declaring a Public Water Supply Emergency in accordance with Borough Ordinance No 432. It shall be unlawful for any person to draw water from the public water supply except for Essential and other ordinary household uses. ATTENTION BOROUGH WATER CUSTOMERS: Duncannon Borough’s water system is experiencing low water levels and is asking its residents to take measures to reduce water use. The Borough is actively searching for the cause of the low water levels, which we believe may be related to a potential leak in the system. Over the course of several weeks, the Borough’s water system has experienced a gradual drop in the amount of water in our storage facilities.
