Boil Water Advisory 2-8-23

Due to an unexpected water main breach and loss of positive water pressure, the area mapped out below is now under a boil water advisory (the area circled in red). Residents should not drink the water without boiling it first. A notice prepared by our water system operator with more information is being delivered door to door and it is available here and on the Borough website. The Borough of Duncannon Public Works is aware of the current water outage.  At around 8:15am this morning, the contractors discovered a leak  on North Lincoln St.  The water had to be turned off to repair this leak.  We know that this shut off has affected those around the Borough, not only on North Lincoln St.  We will keep you updated as we get more information. High Street Water Main Project

This is an important message regarding the Duncannon Borough Water system. A water main replacement project is scheduled to begin on Monday, January 16, 2023 and continue for approximately 12 weeks. Parking and traffic patterns will be affected. NO PARKING signs will be posted by the contractor as needed. Notification will be given for any planned water outages.
