The Borough is undertaking a number of water system maintenance activities next week.  Fire hydrant flow testing will occur overnight on Monday September 8th to Tuesday September 9th between the hours of 9pm - 6am. The testing is an effort to evaluate the capability of the Borough water system for fire protection. Hydrant flushing is scheduled for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at various locations throughout the Borough.  The flushing is necessary to improve water quality throughout the system.  Finally, a water valve replacement will occur on Wednesday and Thursday at the intersection of Lincoln Street and Cherry Street.    We kindly ask [...]

Due to an increase in the Borough’s water storage levels and the repair of a major leak, the previously issued Phase 2 Emergency Conservation measures outlined in Ordinance 432 have been lifted, and non-essential water uses are now permitted.  The Borough continues to encourage residents to maintain normal water conservation practices.  On behalf of the Borough, we thank all residents for their compliance and patience in this matter.
