Due to an extended period of dry weather and possible leaks in the distribution system, the water levels in the Borough’s water storage facilities have fallen to a critical level. As a result, the Borough is hereby declaring a Public Water Supply Emergency in accordance with Borough Ordinance No 432. It shall be unlawful for any person to draw water from the public water supply except for Essential and other ordinary household uses. Users should evaluate your personal and business activities involving water and take all possible steps to reduce your usage. Non essential uses including exterior watering of lawns or gardens, washing of vehicles or trailers, washing of outdoor surfaces, filling of pools or the operation of fire hydrants under non-emergency conditions shall be prohibited until further notice. Penalties for violation of this order will result in fines ranging from $100 to $1,000, and or physical restriction of the water service of a violator.
